Sequim was officially
incorporated on October 31, 1913. For
many decades small farms, mostly dairy
farms, dotted the area around the small
town.
Throughout
the year, residents enjoy open air
concerts and movies in the park,
great museums, art, golfing, walking
or biking on the Discovery
Trail,
boating and kayaking
at the John Wayne Marina, hiking
and camping in the Olympic Mountains,
indoor swimming and recreation at
the Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center
and many other outdoor activities.
Sequim is home to a herd of Roosevelt
elk, one unique attraction to the
area. Sequim also holds a Lavender
Festival during the
summer of every year, which
attracts thousands of people from
all around.
